Today was the Meguiar's Detailing Clinic where we got a chance to have our cars detailed by Mike Phillips, or in most cases, even do it ourselves! The day was amazing. We had a great turnout! I actually spent most of my time behind the camera, but having watched so many people buff their cars, I feel like I did everyone of them! I learned a couple things too! We used the PC DA (Porter Cable Dual Action) versus the lesser and potentially more damaging rotary buffer. I say lesser only because a rotary buffer requires a more experienced hand to prevent damage to your car. The rotary buffer has an action like a drill, verus the Dual Action rotates and moves side to side. You won't get swirl marks with a DA and is the recommended way to go. Prices range from $119-$240. Check out these kind words from Mike on his forums: "I have to say...
this was the best how-to clinic that I have ever been a part of. All of
the attendees were first rate. They were interested to see what Meguiar's
had to offer, as well as polite and genuinely friendly. I have been as
high as a kite all night! Thanks again to all who attended, and to Brian,
(SqkyKln) for organizing and helping me with the event."
